Genuine


There are many different forgeries of these famous triangle air mail issues, both the single triangles without and with overprint (Mi #14, 41 and 42) as well as the double (tete-beche) triangles (Mi #43-45). The printing quality is rather poor both on originals and forgeries, and it may be difficult to tell the difference at first glance. There are, however, some main characteristics that may be used even in internet auctions with rather poor scans (illustrated with Mi #44 and #45):
